Day 247 of 365

Glass and needles

Seattle is a typical big city. Endless opportunities for food, stop and go traffic and old and new architecture of every form.

On day 247 I got a chance to explore two classic Seattle locations ;Chihuly garden & glass and the Space Needle.

The garden and glass location was pretty spectacular. Dale Chihluly is a masterful artist and the gallery at the base of the Space Needle has an overwhelming display of blown glass art.

After our walk through the garden of glass we took a turbo charged elevator to the top of the Space needle.

Our tour had backstage access to the construction area. They are in the process of installing glass floors and benches for an absolute "pee your pants" experience.

I’ve never been to the top of any tower like this and having access to the outer deck was a knee shaking experience. As first times go I set my fear aside and just did it.

Day 247 was out of this world.
