Day 198 of 365

Fast Friends

Have you ever been to an event alone? I have and it's excruciating for an introvert like me.

On day 198 I experienced speed friending.

Here's the setup. Hundreds of strangers file into a room. They stand face to face in two enormous snaking lines. The event coordinator shouts out conversation starting questions and you've got a few minutes to bond and become instant friends.

That's how my adventure played out, but there was a tiny spin. I was one of the people volunteering to keep all of these strangers in line. Who knew moving to the left could be so complicated?

It wasn't easy but I also managed to meet a few people in the process.

Day 198 was all about new friends.
