Day 114 of 365

Space Hulk and the Warhammer

If you've been following my last 100+ days you'll remember that I spent a few of them in preparation for today's experience.

On the 114th day I crushed it with a game of Space Hulk. This Warhammer experience involves imaginary creatures that look like something from the Alien movies. My goal is to defeat the creepy things as they get in the way.

Look, this involves some imagination and since I spent all of that time painting my little army I wanted to get the full experience. My oldest kid belongs to a group of people who gather together to game and socialize. They invited me to be a part of their family tonight. They really are a family. The group made a meal and it was the perfect start to the experience. I felt a bit spoiled.

My kid and I set up the game. It's a maze of cutout boards that can be used over and over. Tonight my mission was to make it from one end to the other and firebomb the last chamber on the board. It sounds easy but there are tiny cards and numbers and so much dice rolling. It's not complex but it is a little intense as the battle begins.

I had a great time. I think it was more about being invited in to this world where my kid has always felt at home.

On the 114th day I'd like to say thanks to my kid and his other family. You're a great group of human beings.

Love & Light

I planted my #365rockdays rock.
