A book for parents of LGBTQIA+ youth
Dear Kane;
What I wish we would’ve said.
Dear Kane is a powerful and intimate short story that examines the fragile threads that bind us to the people we love—and the words we often leave unsaid until it’s too late. Told with raw honesty and compassion, it delves into the complexity of family relationships, the sting of regret, and the redemptive strength that comes from speaking our truth.
Inspired by Sharon K. Angelici’s volunteer work with Just Live, Inc., Dear Kane is more than a suicide prevention book—it’s a story that calls to listen, to reach out, and to love a little louder.
“Being” by Branik
“Being” is a song cowritten with singer-songwriter Branik and visualizes the emotional core of Dear Kane. Through expressive imagery and lyrical storytelling, it amplifies themes of regret, connection, and redemption—bringing to life what might have remained in silence.
